The latest digital pyrodetector innovation is the DigiPyro® range. The new Smart DigiPyro® series offers a complete motion detector solution, with all electronic circuitry including a timer built into the detector housing. Just add a power supply and power-switching components to make the entire motion switch. The Smart DigiPyro delivers several unique advantages including fully integrated event logic timing, adjustable sensitivity settings, and ambient light sensing.
The new “Mini” DigiPyro is a miniaturised version of the digital pyrodetector – a dual-element configuration with a 3-pin TO-46 housing for motion sensing applications which are space-constrained and/or lens-size constrained.
The new DigiPile™ family of digital thermopiles are thermopile detectors with digital outputs. DigiPile combines a time-proven MEMS-based sensing element with a fully integrated low noise amplifier, A/D converter and integrated ambient temperature sensor. An internal clock and control unit enable the DigiPile to open a dialogue with any microprocessor without costly additional components. Along with the DigiPile’s more reliable digital design functionality, the move from analog to digital provides OEM designers with reduced space requirements on printed circuit boards, requires fewer additional components, and provides improved resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMI). The DigiPile family is offered in a range of housings and sensing areas, with applications in thermometry, pyrometry, and non-contact temperature sensing.
