Fibox announces relocation of UK sales and service division to new local offices whilst taking the decision to deploy all service logistics for the UK and Irish markets from its central warehouse product hub in Germany
Enclosure specialist Fibox UK is now enjoying its new surroundings as the company recently relocated its UK sales and service office to pastures new. The new office is conveniently located a short distance away from its previous place of business.
However the company has announced that it will not be relocating its stock holdings, but will service all UK and Irish customers directly from is its central European warehouse hub based in Porta Westfalica, Germany.
Speaking about the move, Steve Gallon, Fibox Managing Director in the UK said, “Since 1997 when the company was formed, Fibox always had its own warehouse from which we made deliveries to our clients throughout the UK and Ireland.
However, in 2011 we carried out a cost benefit analysis relating to the feasibility of continuing with a UK warehouse, considering the German hub was fully operational and carrying vast amounts of stock.
The result was for the UK operation to move its logistics to Germany, which would not only alleviate the fact that year-on-year, more expensive stock holding and warehouse space was required, but the relocation would benefit the profitability of the UK operation considerably, without jeopardising the level of customer service the company had given to its customers for over 15 years.
