M300 10A hi-rel power connector family for rugged environments and EZ-Shield Cans Kit to be shown for first time in UK
Portsmouth, UK, January 2015… Harwin, the leading hi-rel connector and SMT board hardware manufacturer, is exhibiting its two latest products for the first time in the UK at Southern Manufacturing 2015.
Harwin’s new M300 durable power connector family of high-density interconnects handles currents up to 10A. Based on a 3mm pitch, M300 connectors are designed for rugged environments and can withstand temperatures between -65degC and +175degC, as well as more than twice the number of mating operations than older generation products. Suitable applications for the M300 family include defence and commercial aircraft, industrial, oil and gas exploration, satellites and UAVs.
EZ-Shield Cans provide EMC protection to sensitive electronics and are simply pressed onto pre-positioned surface-mounted EZ-Shield Clips, saving expensive and labour-intensive secondary assembly and facilitating re-work. During development, design engineers often have to order bespoke cans without being sure of their eventual requirement. Harwin’s EZ-Shield Cans kit provides a low-cost, time-saving DIY alternative – the two supplied nickel silver sheets are pre-scribed on a 5mm grid so engineers can cut and form EZ-Shield Cans to the desired size on the spot. Instructions and a quantity of EZ-Shield Clips are also included in the kit.
