DJ Assembly, the York-based contract electronic manufacturer, is to exhibit at Northern Manufacturing (Stand D37), which will be held at EventCity in Manchester on the 27th and 28th September.

The event, now in its fifth year, attracts a wide range of global brands and engineering firms, making it an unmissable date on the calendar for anybody looking to outsource or look for assistance designing and prototyping new products.

“Northern Manufacturing always is an important date in our calendar,” explains Tony Hunt, DJ Assembly’s Sales Director. “With great transport links, Northern Manufacturing attracts attendees from all over the north of England, Scotland and Wales, and gives attendees the chance to form new partnerships, revolutionise their production plans and meet new suppliers.”

At the event, DJ Assembly will be showcasing previous assembly and design work that has been completed for some of the United Kingdom’s most innovative OEMs. Alongside displaying their engineering ingenuity, DJ’s team of representatives will also be on hand to demonstrate how their holistic approach to production can unlock extra value throughout the supply chain.

For the past two decades, DJ Assembly, specialists in small-to-medium production runs, has been helping a wide variety of companies by providing electronic manufacturing services such as prototyping and both PCB and box-build assemblies. All work is undertaken by IPC-trained staff (to Level 3) and is underpinned by both the company’s Quality Guarantee and ISO9001 accreditation.

In recent years, DJ has had a hand in developing neurological scanning equipment (partnering with a leading academic institution to do so) and has manufactured high-tech devices such as fire suppression systems, marine data recorders and video enhancement systems.

But aside from being able to provide support from a production perspective, DJ Assembly’s forward-thinking strategies enable them to unlock additional value across the entire supply chain.

This is achieved, in part, due to the CEM’s unique status within the industry, as Tony Hunt explains: “With fantastic links to franchise distribution channels and our position in the Cyclops Group, our purchasing team not only can reduce the cost of a product’s Bill of Materials but also broaden it as well, helping companies guard against issues such as obsolescence, price hikes and shortages.”

“This is part of a conscious strategy to improve all aspects of a supply chain for our manufacturing partners,” Steven Walter, DJ Assembly’s Production Manager, adds.

“We have a dedicated scheduling service which, coupled with our stockholding facilities and a 24- hour call-off system, provides businesses with the flexibility they need when it comes to their manufacturing plans.”

This frees up our customers’ capital and allows money to be spent in other areas, instead of it being tied up in stock

With all work conducted in York, DJ Assembly represents a fantastic option for those based in the North of England who are looking to either outsource, or switch electronic manufacturing service providers.
