Charx power distribute, the new distribution module from Phoenix Contact, supplies all of the components in a 19″ charging station. The incoming AC mains voltage can be distributed to up to five power modules. It also supplies power to the control module. Integrated protective functions ensure the maximum safety of downstream modules and cables.

The highly efficient power electronics Charx power basic and the convenient distribution module Charx power distribute facilitate the cost-effective operation of DC charging infrastructure for the fast charging of electric cars. The Charx system in a standard 19″ format consists of several coordinated modules for distributing, converting, and controlling the charging current, which can be combined to suit any charging situation. Compared to classic assembly with DIN rail components, the modular design with this system in 19″ standard dimensions significantly reduces the complexity of a DC charging station. It also enables the quick installation and replacement of modules.

The new Charx power distribute distribution module supplies up to five power modules in a 19″ fast charging station with AC mains voltage – efficiently and in a space-saving way. The 19″ standard and Push-in fast connection facilitate fast installation and maintenance. The power control module is also supplied with power. Integrated surge protection, miniature circuit breakers, and overheating protection ensure the maximum safety of all downstream modules and cables. This enables the fused connection of power modules of overvoltage category II. In addition, the modules meet the international IEC 61851 standard, as confirmed by an external certification authority.
