ATEX and IECEx approval has been achieved by The Deeter Group on a wide range of its sensor products, enabling their use in hazardous environments.

ATEX Directive 94/9/EC is the mandatory requirement for all equipment intended for use in a potentially explosive atmosphere to conform to safety standards.

Many manufacturing processes, including biodiesel production, generate potentially explosive atmospheres. European Directive 137 – The protection of workers from potentially explosive atmospheres – makes it mandatory under European law to assess for an explosion risk and classify the area accordingly.

ATEX approval is now available on the company’s LVCS range of sensors.

The devices are available with digital and a number of different analogue output options, including 4-20mA current loop, the LVCS range may be specified with an 8 or 12mm sensor tube diameter, 1” or 2” ball float and from 100 to 4000mm tube length with optional thread mounting.
