In2Connect is now stocking and shipping the SP 13, 17 and 21 Series of IP68 rated connectors built by Weipu. These RoHS Compliant and CE Approved circular connectors are IP68 rated while in the mated state. Lightweight, weatherproof and extremely cost-effective, In2Connect’s screw threaded, positive mating keywayed connectors have strong Nylon shells designed to be resistant to hostile conditions of dust and moisture. Available with from 2 to 12 contacts they will handle from 250 to 500 VAC and 5 to 30 Amps dependent upon size and planform. Gold plated solder contacts come as standard with screw contacts available to order on lead time for SP21 sizes. Male or female contacts are available in plug and in-line or industry standard 13, 17 or 21mm cut-out panel mount sockets. IP68 integrity covers “Ingress of water in quantities causing harmful effects shall not be possible when the product is continuously immersed in water under conditions which shall be agreed between the manufacturer and the user” and these connectors will work reliably indoors, outdoors and in harsh UV and hostile wet environments. Using a combination of dual O ring sealing, high temperature PPS inserts, grommets and compression nuts, all insulator and contact areas in these connectors are fully sealed against environmental elements. Although not designed for continuous immersion they are factory tested under 2 metres of water for 1 week, and hence are widely used for safe control and power connections between equipment where IP68 is critical, e.g. in instrumentation, process control, industrial machinery, automotive, marine and other applications like outdoor lights, LED lights and LED display walls, outdoor security cameras, etc. Plug and receptacle housings are keyed to ensure correct polarisation and tactile feedback when mating. Unlike many competitors’ products all the Pintail SP13/21 connectors have the option of male or female contacts in any body shell; plus the ability to join cables with cable-end plug and in-line receptacle models.
Weipu’s WA22 connectors use a combination of sealing washers, inserts; grommets and PG11 threaded compression nuts; the insulators and contact areas in these connectors are sealed against environmental elements. The seals are sited so that the integral backshell can be easily removed to allow accurate soldering or screwing of the cores of the incoming cable. Connector end caps are available to suit the panel mount version and IP67 integrity is achieved when male and female connectors are mated or when the IP67 end cap is fitted to the IP67 socket body. They are not intended for use under continuous pressure.
The mechanical properties of the WA22 connectors allow temperatures of -40 to 100 degrees C. They are RoHS compliant, CE marked, small, lightweight and extremely cost-effective ~ without compromising the integrity of the interconnection. The WA22 connectors are designed for at least 500 mating cycles and the cable entry can accommodate cable diameters from 7 to 10mm.
The receptacle connectors share the same mounting footprint as similar connectors from Amphenol-Tuchel (C16-1) and Binder (962/963).
These connectors will mate with or replace those and other similar industry standard connectors.
Weipu WP20 connectors build powerful indoor interconnect system with up to 5 contacts rated at 30 Amp. The WP20 series bayonet coupling connectors will provide IP55 integrity when mated and will work reliably in indoor conditions.
The WP20 IP55 has a bayonet latching system which is renowned for its easy and quick mating and unmating features. It also provides security against vibration, shock or pull on the cable and facilitates operation in a very limited space. The push and twist system also allows the connector to be mated by simply pushing the plug axially into the socket. Once firmly latched, connection cannot be broken by pulling on the cable. IP55 is intended to provide protection against dust, dirt, lint, dripping water, and dripping external condensation or splashing of non-corrosive liquids. The Socket of the WP20 connector is rated IP44.
The contact plating on the brass solder terminations is gold over nickel in cable free plug and two hole fixing panel mounting receptacle. Plug and receptacle housings are keyed to ensure correct polarisation and tactile feedback when mating. WP20 connectors have the option of male or female contacts in any body shell.
Constructed of Nylon PA66/zinc alloy shells with 260 °C PPC inserts these connectors have very stable dielectric and insulating properties plus they provide good mechanical properties at their design temperatures of -25°C / 85°C. They are RoHS compliant, CE marked, lightweight and extremely cost-effective ~ without compromising the integrity of the interconnection.
WP20 connectors are designed for at least 500 mating cycles and the clamping can accommodate cable diameters from 4.5mm to 7mm and 7mm to 12mm.
