An extended worldwide distribution deal between RS Components and Schurter has been agreed, extending on the two company’s existing European distribution focus.
The two companies have a long-standing relationship spanning some twenty years with the distributor carrying more than 200 new lines, which now comprises around 1,500 parts from the manufacturer, including a range of fuses, connectors and switches, as well as input systems such as touch panels and keypads.
The company advises all parts are listed in ModelSource, whilst the new web-based component library from RS, and 3D CAD models of many of these devices are also now available to download free-of-charge from the RS website, or from DesignSpark.com, the RS online community for engineers.
“Closer cooperation with RS over the past couple of years has led to tangible positive results for our business, with significant double digit growth in key regions in Europe,” said Hans-Rudolf Schurter, Chairman and CEO of the SCHURTER Group.
“Their eCommerce strategy is very impressive, and there is every indication that extending our agreement to a global basis will prove advantageous both for us and for our customers.”
Chris Page, Global Offer Director at RS Components, said: “This agreement is recognition of our success in Europe with the Schurter range through new product introductions and online initiatives.
“The presence of our 17 global distribution warehouses means that we are able to provide the same high levels of service excellence to all customers, no matter where in the world they are located.”
