Available from RDS is the new PICO-KBU4 palm-sized PC supporting Machine vision and other IIoT applications requiring a compact i3, i5, i7 solution. By using the ultra-low power 7th gen processors and placing the CPU on the solder side, designers can manage the thermal challenge of high-performance processors in a compact environment. Designed for 24-hour operation, with customisable BIOS, the card offers a wide range of connectivity that can be expanded through the local expansion bus. Not only is this a powerful board but it is smaller than an iPhone6 – 100mm x 72mm x 25mm – which makes it ideal automated sensory applications such as surveillance and cloud solutions where space is at a premium.
