Link Microtek, the specialist supplier of microwave and RF subsystems and components, has unveiled a new range of broadband phase shifters covering microwave frequencies as high as 40GHz.

Manufactured by Narda Microwave-East, an L-3 Communications company, the range consists of four models, all of which are ideal for use in calibration and general test-and-measurement applications in both the military and commercial sectors.

Models 4579, 4580 and 4581 are equipped with female SMA connectors while Model 4582 utilises female 2.92mm coaxial connectors. Phase shift is adjusted via a rotating control knob, with the position fixed by means of a lock nut.

These high-performance devices offer a low insertion loss of typically 1.5dB and maximum VSWRs ranging from 1.6:1 to 2.0:1. Power-handling capability is specified as 100W average and 3kW peak.

Produced in accordance with the L-3 Communications quality-assurance programme, the phase shifters weigh 306g and feature a sturdy housing measuring 95.3 x 50.8 x 25.4mm, excluding connectors and control knob.
