New 32-Bit power architecture microcontrollers from Freescale Semiconductor are now being stocked b Mouser Electronics, Inc.

The PX Series microcontrollers are system-on-chip devices that are built on Power Architecture technology and contain enhancements that improve the architecture’s fit within embedded applications.

They include additional instruction support for digital signal processing (DSP) while integrating technologies such as an enhanced time processor unit, enhanced queued analogue-to-digital converter, Controller Area Network, and an enhanced modular input-output system.

The MCUs are capable of delivering considerable performance for the most complex industrial control applications, including motion control, power generation, clinical medical, aerospace and defence, motor drives, robotics and more.

The host processor core of the series works in accordance with the Power Architecture embedded category. It operates at speeds up to 264MHz and can handle high-performance processing enhanced for low power consumption.
