Mouser Electronics, Inc. has launched a new Wireless Charging Technology site. The company advises reasons for this launch are based around the fact, that
wireless technology is a rapidly evolving market and in response its new site will offer a detailed overview of this advancing technology. The site will also aim to and help designers identify the ideal wireless charging semiconductor and passive components – as well as development tools for design projects.
The distributor adds, certain wireless inductive charging devices are currently following a global wireless charging standard called Qi (pronounced “Chee”), developed and licensed by the Wireless Power Consortium.
It points out that, Products that carry the Qi logo on their packaging are interoperable, allowing consumers the freedom to charge any Qi compliant device in wireless charging range of any Qi charger. The adoption of the Qi wireless charging standard is claimed to enable both OEMs and third party developers alike to design and manufacturer Qi-compliant devices and accessories.
Mouser advises its new site features technical articles detailing the latest developments in Qi-compliant devices and chargers, and explores the latest trends in the wireless charging industry. This new site also hosts a variety of videos and other technical resources. Future updates will also be added by the distributor delving into A4WP, which it claims is another new wireless charging standard which uses a larger magnetic field allowing more than one device to be charged from a single transmitter.
