A range of ultra-modern technologies have been integrated by Finder into the company’s new electronics manufacturing facility in Almese, Italy. This includes innovative electrostatic discharge (ESD) protective flooring.

The new electronics department houses the company’s  PCB production facility, and product manufacturing unit. To protect components against electrostatic discharge (ESD), the company has employed methods in the design of the facility that ensure any ESD voltage is limited to less than 100V.

An Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA) has been created via an innovative flooring system with static dissipative flooring.

Discharge current levels that would otherwise be damaging to electronic components are avoided as a result through dissipation under ‘controlled’ conditions.

This flooring system enables operators to move freely throughout the entire area using suitable anti-static equipment while visitors can access the departments without any special equipment.

Many other features are also utilised in the building.
