Over recent decades, the electronics industry has made size reduction and miniaturisation – without a drop in performance – a priority. In fact in many cases, while products get smaller, their features and capability increase. The connector industry has managed to keep pace with these changes and a great example is the micro38999 connector format.
These Souriau micro38999 connectors are as much as 50% smaller and three times lighter than the standard format yet offer the same number of contacts and the same protection levels. They come in a choice of coupling – threaded, bayonet and break away – and several shell styles including plug-in, jam nut and in-line as well as square flange.
