The EA eDIPTFT43-ATC intelligent display is now available with capacitive touch-screen. Touch is detected whether or not the user is wearing gloves. Usable with normal and standard medical gloves. The display is designed for day-to-day use in harsh industrial environments with a 6H surface hardness making it scratch resistant. With the zero bezel design the capacitive touch-screen is usable in environments where strong cleaning agents are used and traditionally resistive touch-screen could not be used.
The EA eDIPTFT43-ATC (4.3”) 480×272 pixel and EA eDIPTFT70-ATC (7.0”) 800×480 pixel with high contrast LED backlit display has built-in intelligence and innovative user-friendly features. The EA eDIP intelligent displays enable companies to improve product to market time and reduce engineering cost. Within minutes of opening the box the EA eDIP displays function immediately. Pre-integrated with all driving electronics, flash memory, backlight drivers, I/O and optional touch-screen functionality, the display is ready to be connected by serial, SPI or I²C interface to the host processor or when using a simple level converter USB, RS-232 or RS-485 is available. Additionally the unit features two analogue inputs, 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs.

The Evaluation kit EA EVALeDIPTFT43-ATC and EA EVALeDIPTFT70-ATC includes free LCD development software and interface to USB, RS-232, RS-485 and 5V serial, I2C and SPI. The EVAL board has switches and LEDs to test the digital I/O and two trimmers for the analogue ports. Power for the EA EVALeDIPTFT4.3” is supplied from the USB port. The EA EVALeDIPTFT7.0” includes a power supply.
