Fibre optics, LEDs & Backlights
Visitors to OMC’s booth L30 at the Engineering Design Show at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry from 16-17th October will experience the company’s latest, innovative opto-electronic products, including high brightness LEDs, polymer and glass fibre connectors and cable assemblies and backlights in all conceivable colours and shapes.
Uniquely, OMC – known for its LED and fibre-optic expertise as ‘the problem solvers’ – has a state-of-the-art, purpose-built manufacturing facility in the UK, reflecting the demand for both its bespoke and off-the-shelf optoelectronic solutions.
Explains OMC’s Commercial Director, William Heath: “Our fibre optic division – where we employ our proprietary ACA™ (Active Component Alignment) technology to ensure that our fibre-optic data links perform consistently and reliably from link to link – is flexible to allow for increases in demand, and our backlighting division can deliver custom-sized illuminated components for displays even for low to medium volume requirements.”
