Precision high voltage applications such as testing equipment, instrumentation, high voltage inverters, energy storage, and medical equipment all require high accuracy high voltage resistors.
For these applications, typical VCR of 200 ppm to 500 ppm lead to significant and unacceptable measurement error. Stackpole’s HVCR is specifically designed and processed for stable resistance at high voltage and is 100 per cent VCR screened to ensure VCR of less than -5 ppm for the 1206 size and -2 ppm for the 2512. This yields accuracy of no more than -0.2 per cent to -0.5 per cent over 1000 V change allowing for improved performance and reliability.
The HVCR is available in 1206 and 2512 sizes, in 10MΩ and 100MΩ resistance values, in 1 per cent tolerance and 100 ppm TCR. Stackpole’s manufacturing provides capability for other sizes and resistance values as well. The HVCR1206 is rated for 1500 V working voltage and the HVCR2512 is rated for 3000 V.
