Hitex to host a one-day ARM User Conference: “ARM – the new standard across the board?”Following on from the success of past events, Hitex (UK) Ltd are delighted to be holding another of its one-day ARM User Conferences titled “ARM – the new standard across the board?” at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull on Wednesday 16th May 2012.

The aim of the event is to give an overview of currently available ARM-based microcontrollers and development tools as well as a taste of what’s to come. During the seminar we will present a compelling argument for companies to adopt ARM as a standard architecture for future designs. As ARM based devices are now able to meet the needs of developers from the smallest to the largest of designs, we will be exploring how this standardisation is not only realistic but achievable.

Hitex to host a one-day ARM User Conference: “ARM – the new standard across the board?”The presentations from key tools vendors including Hitex, Keil and Texas Instruments, will focus on topics including auto coding tools, feature-rich operating systems, middleware and the new ‘Cortex Microcontroller Software Interface Standard’. The presentations will be technology-based as opposed to road maps or sales pitches. This is to ensure that every delegate will leave having gained real knowledge and value from the day.

The outline agenda is as follows:

  • Keynote: ARM at the heart of the microcontroller revolution. (ARM)
  • Multi-core ARM MCUs: what is the value from an application perspective? (NXP)
  • Accelerating time to market through advanced debug technology. (ARM)
  • STM32: Extending the reach. (ST)
  • 0-60 in under 30 minutes: Using DAvE™ 3 to accelerate XMC4000 project development time. (Infineon)
  • Hitex to host a one-day ARM User Conference: “ARM – the new standard across the board?”The ARM Cortex-M0+ : a technical introduction. (Freescale)
  • Practical ways to ‘Future Proof’ embedded C applications for ARM Cortex based microcontrollers. (HCC Embedded)
  • An Overview of CMSIS-RTOS. (Feabhas)
  • Bridging the development gap from ARM Cortex-M to Cortex-A using simple low level libraries. (Texas Instruments)
  • Moving into ARM embedded Linux development. (Rufilla)

Each of these presentations will last approximately 30 minutes with a keynote presentation from ARM. Lunch and plenty of tea and coffee will be provided, along with breakfast rolls on arrival.

New for 2012 is a bigger and more comprehensive exhibition area which has been carefully pulled together to complement the seminar program. It is designed to facilitate discussion and networking to ensure that every part of the day delivers value for all attendees.
