Complimentary to its comprehensive standard product portfolio, HEITEC has presented its new Ripac Vario Module family extension as a cost-efficient, robust and flexible enclosure solution which offers multiple design options as well as an off-the-shelf basis for the quick and easy, precise adoption to customer-specific applications.

Optionally available as a system or table-top case and rack-mount enclosure for installation into 19-inch racks, and in versions of 2 to 7U and different widths (42, 63 and 84HP), as standard as well as a customised variant in alternative sizes, it is individually configurable and deployable in multiple ways. Furthermore, it is compatible to the existing Ripac Vario module program.

The mounting of various backplanes such as VPX or CompactPCI Serial is possible as are different power supply and fan solutions, including fan-less operation based on specifically perforated top and bottom covers. In addition, the case can be easily turned from a table-top to a rack-mount enclosure. If it is required by the application, EMC variants to the Ripac Vario module versions which include conductive contact points, EMC gaskets and a specifically designed structure are available.

By using variable extensions and horizontal rails, the enclosures can be expanded nearly arbitrarily or extended by mounting plates for free wiring. A wide range of accessories consisting of top and bottom covers, front and rear panels, flanges, positioning feet and carrying handles as well as mounting brackets enables great flexibility. The design is robust but appealing at the same time: Side walls, side panels (system chassis) and cross profiles are made of extruded aluminum, the corner trims are made of die-cast zinc. The instrument case can be customized to the respective corporate design in RAL colours.

Due to this modularity and its compatibility with the existing Ripac Vario Module program, this Ripac Vario Module family offers ideal enclosure solutions for applications demanding robustness, security as well as quick and easy individual adoption or expansion; all based on available and inexpensive standard components. For instance, it is ideally suited for the assembly of microcomputer systems, laboratory devices, Test and Measurement instruments, for smaller industrial applications as well as all applications requiring an attractive appearance. Long-term availability as well as back- and upward compatibility grant additional design advantages and investment protection.

The Ripac Vario Module line is now available for delivery.
