Hammond’s 1455 extruded aluminium enclosures now includes new square profiles that give much greater height for mounting multiple PCBs for distributed sub-systems and larger components.
Our product ranges constantly evolve and expand as we respond to the ever-changing requirements of the electronics industry. Our 1455 extruded aluminium family is the latest range to be extended, with two new profiles, 54mm x 54mm and 103mm x 103mm. The new square profiles give much greater height for mounting multiple PCBs for distributed sub-systems and/or larger electrical and electro-mechanical components. As standard, the 54mm x 54mm profile is available in 80mm and 120mm lengths, the larger 103mm x 103mm in lengths of 120mm, 160mm and 220mm. The new 103mm x 103mm size will house standard 100mm x 160mm or 220mm Eurocards.
The new sizes are available in clear and black anodised finish with matching flat aluminium end panels, which are supplied with a separate plastic bezel, or with plastic end panels that have an integral bezel.
Key features of the new square 1455 sizes
- The new square sizes are the 1455CS, 54mm x 54mm, and the larger 1455NS, 103mm x 103mm
- The five new standard sizes are 54mm x 54mm x 80mm and 120mm long; 103mm x 103mm x 120mm, 160mm and 220mm long, available in clear and black anodised finish
- The larger 103mm x 103mm size accepts 100mm x 160mm or 220mm standard Eurocards
- They are available with colour-matched aluminium end panels with black plastic bezels or black plastic ones with integral bezels
Key features of the rectangular 1455 family
- Available with or without a sliding plate for easier access to the inside of the enclosure
- 23 standard sizes from 80mm x 103mm x 31mm to 280mm x 191mm x 86mm with the sliding plate
- 15 standard sizes from 60mm x 45mm x 25mm to 120mm x 54mm x 23mm without the sliding plate
- Available in clear, black, blue and red anodised finish with matching aluminium end panels or black plastic ones with integral bezels
- Multiple slots in the extrusion for horizontally mounting PCBs
- Flanged end panels for direct mounting of the enclosure are available for selected sizes
