The latest family of plastic sealed enclosures from Hammond Electronics is the RZ ABS and polycarbonate range. The IP65 rated RZ family is a competitively priced alternative for applications where the level of sealing only needs to provide complete protection against the ingress of dust and protection against a 12.5l/min 6.3mm diameter water jet at 3 bar at 3m pressure from any angle for at least 15 minutes. It is an entry-level version of the 1554 and 1555 families, in which the ABS versions are IP66 rated (protection against a 100l/min 12.5mm diameter water jet at 10 bar at 3m pressure from any direction for at least three minutes) and the polycarbonate ones are IP68 rated (continuous immersion in greater than 1.0m).
There are four RZ family configurations
An initial 10 sizes are available from 52 x 50 x 35 to 222 x 146 x 75 mm. Additional sizes will be added as the range is expanded.
ABS: UL94-HB RAL1013 beige ABS with either a solid ABS lid or a clear polycarbonate lid.
Polycarbonate: UL94-V2 RAL7035 light grey polycarbonate with either a solid or clear polycarbonate lid.
