Fixed-field background suppression sensors from Banner Engineering Corp. have been released. The devices have been designed to enhance sensing capabilities with visible red, fixed field background suppression.
The devices have a sensing range of up to 6inches (150mm) and are suitable for a number of sensing applications in a variety of industries, including material handling, robot assembly, food and beverage and pharmaceutical.
The company’s Q20FF products provide optical performance in a world-wide standard sensor housing with 25.4mm (1inch) mounting hole spacing. Models are available with 2, 4, or 6inch sensing ranges.
The sensors are IP67/NEMA 6 and NEMA PW12 1200 PSI washdown rated with metallic M8 and M12 connectors on ‘QD’ models with a threaded connection to the cord-set
They have a DC operation from 10 to 30 VDC with solid-state outputs (one normally open, one normally closed); PNP (sourcing) or NPN (sinking) by model.
They also come with mounting brackets and apertures.
