Farnell element14 has announced the RIoTboard adapter, enabling the connection of a variety of accessory types to the RIoTboard that do not natively interface with the board – vastly expanding its functionality.

The RIoTboard adapter offers users the ability to connect accessories from a wide range of prominent accessory types like Arduino shields, MikroE Clicks, Pmods and Raspberry Pi accessories enhancing the functionality of the RIoT platform. 

Additionally, a number of add on boards are also available for prototyping including the WIFI dongle which connects via USB and the LCD8000-43T-EX1 display which offers a resistive touchscreen display with 480 x 272 resolution and connects through the on board LCD interface.  Additional accessories include Bluetooth, ADC, Sensor, and Thermocouple add-on boards.
