Saint Bonnet de Mure, 26th February 2024 – CCR fuse holders from Mersen are known for their robust and space-saving design. Now there is an even more compact version available to users: Mersen has reduced the already low height of the fuse holders by another 2 mm. The new version is available in sizes CCR8, 1/2/3/N & 1+N & CCR10, 1/2/3/N & 1+N.

Mersen CCR series cmyk EXTREMELY COMPACT FUSE HOLDERS FOR LED LIGHTSFuse holders of the CCR series are ideal for use in switch boxes for streetlights, Christmas lighting and pools. The finger-safe holders meet the requirements for IP20 protection and are made of flame-retardant materials with a GWFI (flow wire flammability index) value of 960 °C. Mersen manufactures the fuse holders in 1-, 2- and 3-pin IEC versions, and single-pin units can be combined to create multi-pin units.

The excellent thermal and mechanical stability of the CCR series fuse holders makes them destined for use in systems for the protection of motors and transformers. They are suitable for installation in low-voltage distributors and controllers with voltages of up to 500 V. The fuse holders are designed for space-saving DIN rail mounting.

Optimal surge protection: the Surge-Trapâ Monoblock series STM T23 SF

To supplement the fuse holders of the CCR series, Mersen offers the Surge-Trap Monoblock series STM T23 SF: These surge protection devices were specially developed for the dissipation of surge voltage in LED lighting systems. The robust 10kV/10kA devices of type 2+3/protection class II+III feature outstanding surge protection (fine protection) according to EN/IEC 61643. Many manufacturers of outdoor LED lights use the Surge-Trap Monoblock series STM T23 in the fuse boxes of the masts, to provide optimal protection of their components against atmospheric surge voltage. The surge protection devices are designed for a maximum leakage current (8/20 μs) of 10 kA and a rated leakage current (8/20 μs) of 5 kA. They are mounted easily and conveniently on DIN rails.
