APD series bayonet connectors from leading global connector manufacturer and supplier, ITT Interconnect Solutions are now available as a full plastic series. APD connectors are based on ISO 15170 and are an ideal space, cost and weight-saving solution for electric and hybrid cars as well as many other applications.

Originally designed for truck, bus, construction and agricultural vehicles, APD connectors have been successfully overcoming transportation challenges for two decades.  Sealed to IP67/IP69k against fluid ingress and highly shock and vibration resistant, the APD series includes 1- and 2- way high-power, VDE-certified 4-way high-voltage and up to 51-way high-density interconnects.  They are also available in a special sensor or PCB version and provide a flexible platform for other customized solutions.

APD series interconnects offer fast and easy assembly.  Up to four different mechanical and colour-codings offer both tactical and visual feedback to guarantee 100% correct mating every time.  Bayonet coupling gives improved vibration resistance and is totally reliable under harsh environment conditions.  APD 19- and 51-way connectors also feature secondary locking for additional retention and ease of assembly/disassembly.

Adaptation to customer-specific applications is simple, as the APD series is available in a variety of shell styles and accessories, including 90deg. end bells.  Machined and stamped contacts can accommodate wire sizes up to 50mm².

Rated to 245A, with maximum voltage of 500VDC/VAC, APD plastic series connectors operate over a temperature range of -40degC to +125degC.
