The OLED technology has the advantage of high contrast (2000:1) combined with an amazing readability from all angles. Not only is this display aesthetically pleasing but offers many other advantages: wide operating temperature -40°C to +80°C without any loss of contrast, fast response time of 10 microseconds even at sub-zero temperatures and low power consumption (15 to 50mA). The display will runs from a +3.3V or +5V supply. The EA W202-XDLG has a character height of 9.66m.  System developers find themselves on familiar ground with the on-board HD44780 compatible display controller. The controller has to a 4 or 8 bit data bus but can has a SPI interface. Choice of four fonts: English, European I, European II and Cyrillic.

Other OLED display are available from MMS Electronics Ltd in 2×8, 2×16, 2×20 and 4×20 (line x char) with 5.5mm characters. The 2×16 and 2×20 OLED displays are also available in large 8.9mm and 9.9mm characters.

These OLED displays are offered in yellow characters on a black background and some models as white characters on black background.
