2022 has been another tough year for the semiconductor industry although the light is certainly at the end of the tunnel with supply starting to get back to pre-pandemic levels. At EDS, Simms, along with our industrial partners will be showcasing the latest industrial memory and storage solutions.

We make memory easy – easy to select, easy to source and easy to understand. The Simms team will be on hand to answer any questions you have around memory, whether it’s an existing project, an issue with your current choice or you are having difficulties in understanding and selecting the correct memory for your application. The team will be happy to help. Visit us on stand F9 for a drink and a chat.

Manufacturers partnering with Simms at EDS include;

Kingston Technology

Kingston Technology are the world’s largest 3rd party memory manufacturer and will be at EDS showcasing their range of Design-in SSDs specifically for system designers and builders. The Design in range consists of SATA 2.5-inch, mSATA, M.2 2242 and M.2 2280 and PCIe Gen. 4 NVMe: M.2 2280, M.2 2230

System designers and builders rely on consistent storage products. Kingston offers the following benefits with the design-in SSD product line:

  • Controlled BOM and firmware – Ensures there are no changes to key components after customer qualification
  • PCN support – All generational changes and firmware updates are handled through a controlled and timed process
  • Engineering support – Customers have direct contact with their regional Kingston Field Application Engineering teams to ensure a fast response to storage requirement questions and support requests
  • Global support – Kingston can coordinate SSD deliveries with a customer’s Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) or Contract Manufacturers (CMs) in other regions of the world, if required
  • Warranty1 — For peace of mind, our design-In SSDs are backed by a limited three-year warranty and free technical support.

Kingston will be on hand throughout EDS to discuss any project requirements you have or any technical questions that you need answering.

Intelligent Memory

Intelligent Memory is a joint venture of industry experts and companies with one common mindset: “Making innovative and better DRAM and Flash products that meet the future demands of our industry with the highest capacities, quality and longevity.” Intelligent Memory provides a diverse selection of memory modules in a variety of technologies and form factors to meet any requirement.

A new Simms vendor, Intelligent Memory offer a comprehensive range of legacy DRAM and DRAM components including LPDDR4 and LPDDR4X DRAMs with integrated ECC error-correction capabilities that operate over the industrial temperature range.

Intelligent Memory produced the world’s first 16 Gigabyte DDR3 Unbuffered DIMMs (UDIMM) and SO-DIMMs. And if size or reliability is of a concern, IM modules are available in RDIMM, LRDIMM, and Very Low Profile (VLP) form factors.

Intelligent Memory will be on hand at EDS to talk all things memory!

Innodisk

Innodisk are synonymous with industrial memory and are consistently voted the best industrial SSD manufacturer and for good reason. With a vast range of cutting-edge solutions form memory and storage to embedded peripherals and IoT solutions, Innodisk have an envious product line up.

At EDS, Innodisk will be showcasing InnoOSR – On Site Recovery. The InnoOSR range consists of 2.5”, M.2 S42 and M.2 S80. The InnoOSR is the world’s first SSD dedicated to complete system recovery and supports hardware GPIO and software triggering coupled with firmware level back up to prevent compatibility issues. If your system crashes, you can reboot at the push of a button.
